Christmas Kindness!

Thank you to Logan and the Olsen family for donating a little Christmas toy tree to the class.  Thank you also to Cooper Murray and the Murray family for donating Christmas lights to hang in our classroom windows.  They look great!  And a special thank you to Neave and the Carmichael family for bringing in delicious choc cupcakes for us to share this morning.  They were delicious!  What a special Christmas treat.

As you may all know by now we have decided to do Secret Santa this year in room 3 and we will opening our gifts on the last day of school.

Please remember our Secret Santa rules:

- Don't let anybody know who you are buying for, it's a secret shhhhhhhh...
- $5 limit
- No toy weapons of any sort except for water guns which is allowed.
- No food or money gifts
- Gifts must be wrapped with the person's name on it
- Place your gift in the box under the Christmas tree
- Please let Mrs Wallbank know if you are not going to be here on the last day of school

Can you help?

For maths we are Counting Collections!  Is there something you can donate from home to add to our collection?  Anything that you have heaps of and that is small enough to fit the whole lot into a plastic snap lock bag.  No sharp or edible items please.

Examples:
- Little rocks or pebbles
- Arts and crafts miscellaneous items
- Pegs
- Paper clips
- Shells
- Buttons
- Beads
- Popcorn kernels
Etc....

Also looking for egg cartons to help us with counting.

Thank you for all of the rubbish you have been sending to school to help us with our Wearable Arts night coming up later on in the term.  We really appreciate all the donations we've had so far!

Student-Led Conferences

On Thursday 8th August we are having our Student Led 3 Way Conferences.  The conferences will be 15 - 20 minutes in duration.  School will finish at 12 noon and conferences begin at 1pm with the last conference finishing at 8pm.  The booking codes for parents to use to book is as follows:

Our Amazing Performance!

On the last day of school in term 2 we performed our 'Waka Waka' dance in front of the whole school!  We were so nervous but we did it!

We were also awarded 'Nude Food Champions' for bringing in the most waste free lunches in the school for term 2!   Thank you for all supporting your child to bring waste free lunches to school on Wednesdays and Fridays.  With sustainability playing a big role in our topic for this term, let's continue with our efforts for term 3!

Special thanks to Lucas who was our videographer on the day and Cooper for introducing the dance!

We are going to MOTAT!

On Tuesday 25th June we are going on a trip to MOTAT for the day.  Your child should have come home with a notice explaining the details of the trip.  Cost is $10.

We were awarded the green grasshopper from the Green Team for having the most waste free lunches this week! 

Let's keep him in our class for another week!  Bring a waste free lunch on WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY.

Lost Property

Please wear the correct uniform - lost anything?  Check the lost property which is now located outside room 14 next to the washing line.  This is a timely reminder to make sure you have your name on all of your uniform items.  Especially hats and jerseys which often get misplaced.
