Christmas Kindness!

Thank you to Logan and the Olsen family for donating a little Christmas toy tree to the class.  Thank you also to Cooper Murray and the Murray family for donating Christmas lights to hang in our classroom windows.  They look great!  And a special thank you to Neave and the Carmichael family for bringing in delicious choc cupcakes for us to share this morning.  They were delicious!  What a special Christmas treat.

As you may all know by now we have decided to do Secret Santa this year in room 3 and we will opening our gifts on the last day of school.

Please remember our Secret Santa rules:

- Don't let anybody know who you are buying for, it's a secret shhhhhhhh...
- $5 limit
- No toy weapons of any sort except for water guns which is allowed.
- No food or money gifts
- Gifts must be wrapped with the person's name on it
- Place your gift in the box under the Christmas tree
- Please let Mrs Wallbank know if you are not going to be here on the last day of school

Congratulations to our AMAZING Mr Dixon who received a trophy for his sporting achievements in soccer.  Josh keeps us up to date on his games and his team came out on top at the end of the season.  We are very proud of you Josh!

Thank you to all of those who came to support at the school cultural festival on Friday and thank you so much for all contributions made.  A special thank you to those children whole helped Mrs Wallbank run the Corn Hole game stall - you are awesome!  As well as though who paid to play!  A big, big thank you to Mr Cole who built the Corn Hole's for us!

CULTURAL FESTIVAL!

Counting Collections

In maths we have been counting collections!  How do you count something when there's lots of it?!  Try counting some collections at home.  How can you make it easier to count many of the same thing?  Can you imagine trying to count grains in a packet of rice?  Try counting your bowl of popcorn or chips next time you have a snack.  Counting is fun!

Who Knows Me Best Erin or Liam?

For IDENTITY topic this term, we had to ask two of our "besties" questions about ourselves to see who knows ME best.  Using Screencastify to capture our responses.  My two besties were Erin and Liam (they drew the short straw - thank you Erin and Liam for being Mrs Wallbank's besties!).  Click on the vid below to see who won!  ALSO check out our individual blogs to see how the rest of the class go on with their besties! Identity - Who do you think you are?

Our topic this term is Identity - Who and How we identify ourselves.  To start our unit off we painted self portraits.  Check out some of our amazing art!
